When using Google Home and linking a Spotify account I am not getting a response back with utterances being said to the device. "Hey Google, play STARGAZING by Travis Scott." The Google Home will say sure, or ok and then not play music or do anything else. Additionally, If I happen to use the Google Home App it will open the Spotify app and just take me to the Spotify Artist page and do nothing as well and not play music.

So I've had my premium account for ages. Recently got a Google Home Mini, and love playing music through it. Unfortunately, when my Mum asks for music it abides, and has ended up messing up my daily mixes and whatnot, because her taste is very different to mine. I just received a google home device today and have unlinked, closed out app, repeat, several times. I've been paying for a family plan for over a year now and have yet to be able to have my kids stream their music through their Spotify on our Google Home system.

You don't need to use the Spotify app to add songs your library. When a song is playing, just say, "OK, Google, save this song ." You can also do the reverse to remove items from your library.
